Biographical Data

Harvey Daiho Hilbert





Harvey Daiho Hilbert studied Drawing and Composition at the University of Miami before moving on to studies in Literature and later, Social Work. He uses many mediums including acrylic paint, photography, pen and ink, charcoal, pastels, and Chinese Brush Work to produce his art. Daiho-roshi, an ordained Zen priest and founding abbot of the Order of Clear Mind Zen. He is interested in producing art that challenges, yet pleases, and reflects something of his interior world. Several of his pieces were selected for showing at the Southwestern Jewish Art Show in Las Cruces, NM. His work has exhibited twice at the Mesquite Art Gallery in Las Cruces, NM, at La Mesa Gallery in La Mesa, NM, at Cafe de Mesilla, and Cafe-A-Go-Go in Las Cruces, NM. He has also displayed his work at "The Hollow," in Georgetown, Tx.
